Week 6 Facebook Business page

The difference to post engagement and post reach are how people interact with a Facebook Page. For example when a person makes a business Facebook page they will have a little bar that says how many people liked their page or viewed their page. This is a example of post reach. Post Engagement is when people interact with a page. People will write reviews, like photos and comment on posts.    The importance of knowing the differences of each term is how we understand how to build a community in a Facebook page. The page will help the business be a part of a community. Like the website Bricklink.com sell specific parts to customers who like Lego. For my business Capstone Crystal it will be part of the Yoga and Crystal collector community. When people visit and like the page is post reach, they see something they like and may or may not engage with the post. When they like and comment on posts of the page that is post engagement and that is good for the business. When people engage

Their best call to action is the free landscape design when you click on it will lead you to page about the landscape and installation services that has a form of permission marketing. The Book Now button is a form of permission marketing cause it will ask the consumer they will need some personal information to opt in to a service and will email the consumer on deals or special events on the site so they are tempted to click on the link to the main site. Myrtle Creek Gardens Target Demographics   Myrtle Creek Gardens target demographics are surprisingly families and cafe attendees. Week 4 part 2

Youtube  https://www.youtube.com/   The site is effective in attention grabbing and has videos that are the most popular if you don't have a google account. If you do they have videos that you might wanna check out since they use an algorithm of videos you watch and content creators you are subscribed to. The navigation to the site is easy to go through and all the buttons work fine with no errors. The mobile versions are easy as well even in App mode if you have the app on your mobile device.   Good principles of design of the site is that the site is easy to understand. Buttons work properly and pages are easy to navigate. Clicking on a video are quick to load up and navigating the video page is easy. The functionality is great works great with different and older devices.   What makes me want to come pack is the convenience.  I can subscribed to teachers who made videos on a specific topic for online classes that are easy to find. I am able to view a video anytime I wa

Week 4 Part 1

Aesthetics, Design, and Branding Penny Juice Three Problems for visitors:      The company name that makes a little to no sense (pun intended). It’t is hard at first that the company is a juice company. When you go and inspect the site and change how it will look in mobile view. The site is not good in mobile view and that is important in this day of age that every site needs to have a mobile friendly site. The site doesn't explain their history and how they have 40 years of experience in the juice industry. This one really bothers me as a web designer. The text fonts are not consistent they have a different font design for each section of the page and the banner images are not fitted in each page.   What could be improve of this site is a whole redesign of the site as a whole. First make the main menu bigger and remove the phone number on top of the menu. Fix the banner and make sure that the image fits so we can see kids or use a different image that represents the

Week 3 Part 1

Have you ever experienced difficulty communicating with a business?     No I usually communicate with business on email sites mostly on Google’s gmail. For freelance design jobs I communicate with clients on email. At a few occasions I communicate in direct message on Instagram. The times I have difficulty with a business is that they reply vague replies for designs they want like “Get creative on the logo” They want something for their buisness and they don't even know what they want. I also don’t hear from them for a week, one time not at all only a few months latter after I scrapped their project. Does social media make it easier to get noticed or get your problem solved?    Depends on the problem and what to get noticed for. Twitter for example if a person has a complaint at a restaurant they might post it  on twitter an it might get fixed. If the tweet gets traction and retweets they might get noticed by the company. The issue might get resolved or it might

Week Two Part 1

Which social media platforms seem geared towards personal use? Why do you think so?     The platforms that I believe this works well for personal use will be Slack and Linkedin. These sites help the individual on job hunting and build a network. The other will help the individual at a company. The Department will use a communication app so all personal in that specific department can communicate with one another easily.     Slack is a good app for a company to use. For example when I was in the Media Arts and Technologies class Advance Design. The professors of that class told us that slack is a good way to communicate with our assigned team members for client design projects we will work on. Slack was useful so I can go on one team I was in and communicate with them on project due dates, design critiques and revisions. It is a useful app for company use like a tech firm or other companies that are team and department oriented.   Linkedin was a good way to find a job and help to
